The directive for the temple's completion.

The directive for the temple's completion.

When the time comes for God to accomplish his gracious goals for his church, he will rise up instruments who were not anticipated to do such fine service. While our attention is drawn to this occurrence, Zechariah encourages us to focus on something more noble, a spiritual structure. Let us aid the big plan as the Lord Jesus Christ continues to place one stone atop another. Difficulties stymie the construction of this holy structure. But do not be discouraged by the opposition; it will be done in due time, to His glorious honor. He will bring forth the headstone with shouts and cries of Grace, Grace, Grace to it. The gospel church, that spiritual temple, has been under construction for a long time, but it will be completed when the mystical body is completed. Every believer is a living temple, building himself up in his most holy faith despite Satan's and our own corruptions' opposition. We squander our time and make several stops and breaks; but He who has began a good thing will see it completed. Then the spirits of righteous men will be perfected. The Jews would be rid of the sting of their recent hardships if their sins were forgiven. It was a delight to serve them. Let us joyfully receive holy ordinances and gladly serve the Lord.
